SmartCarve, the laser cutter software operating the Cyborg, is using the DXF file format for importing vector graphics and Inkscape allows us to easily export our SVG projects in DXF format.
Inkscape Portable is available for immediate download from the Inkscape Portable homepage.Inkscape is a popular Open Source vector graphics editor which can be used with the Cyborg laser cutter at iMAL. And it's in Format, so it automatically works with the Platform including the Menu and Backup Utility. It supports upgrades by installing right over an existing copy, preserving all settings. Inkscape Portable is packaged in a Installer so it will automatically detect an existing installation when your drive is plugged in. We also aim to maintain a thriving user and developer community by using open, community-oriented development. It is very easy to edit nodes, perform complex path operations, trace bitmaps and much more. Inkscape supports many advanced SVG features (markers, clones, alpha blending, etc.) and great care is taken in designing a streamlined interface. Inkscape is an Open Source vector graphics editor, with capabilities similar to Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw, or Xara X, using the W3C standard Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) file format. Update automatically or install from the portable app store in the Platform. Inkscape Portable is made available in conjunction with the Inkscape team. And it's open source and completely free.

Inkscape Portable is an open source scalable vector graphics editor packaged as a portable app, so you can do your graphics work on the go. Inkscape Portable 0.48.5-1 has been released.
